These Kilims are handwoven in the border areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan. They feature a high quality wool and are much more finely woven than most of the kilim types we usually see. Colours are bright and cheerful and are derived from natural dyes. Batches of wool are tied together prior to being dyed, almost like the tie and die methods for dying clothes and tee shirts in the 1960’s. This gives rise to the colours in the kilim being ‘broken’ or variegated, as well as quite mellow and muted due to the nature of the dye matter. As with all our handwoven kilims these pieces are completely reversible. We have Kilims of various sizes/colour combinations & designs always in stock.

Kilims are all about design and colour. I was delighted to find this supplier in Lahore in Pakistan. I bought a large number of kilims in bright, vibrant and current colours with some superb designs and, for the first time in a while, a fantastic choice of kilim runners.
This wool kilim measures 8 feet 1 inch long by 6 feet 1 inch wide. ( 2.47 x 1.86 metres ).
